Dear Friends and Supporters of the JWA,

We begin with a message of thanks to those of you who attended our Annual Gala on March 19th at the Aberdeen Marina Club. The ball room was decked out to resemble a cruise ship as attendees stepped aboard for a night to remember.

Almost 200 guests attended and the evening kicked off with a drinks reception where guests were treated to a photo booth and custom iPhone cases by Nefala and special illustrations done by Tanya of Pirate Illustrator, while they perused highlights of the upcoming auction. Thanks to our generous donors the auction featured some fantastic and varied items, including travel experiences, artwork, beautiful jewelry and fashion accessories.

All in all, between tickets sales and the auction, we raised a record amount on the night and this will go a huge way towards funding our charitable projects and commitments in Israel and Hong Kong in 2016.

During Passover the JWA held a Holiday Kids Camp at the amazing Kids Gallery. After 4 days of very entertaining art, dance and music, all the children came home with a creative paper mache minion artwork.

Thank you again for your incredible support. We will be organizing visits to our Beneficiaries in July in Israel. Stay tuned for information and please join us this summer.

Tomorrow we are looking forward to celebrating Israel Independence Day, Yom Ha’atzmaut, 68 years since the creation of the State of Israel, following Yom Hashoah and Yom Hazikaron, when we remember those who lost their lives during the Holocaust and fighting for the State of Israel. May we know no more bloodshed.

Wishing you all Chag Yom Ha’atzmaut Sameach,

Marissa and Shani
