10 August, 2017

Dear Friends,

The Jewish Women’s Association of Hong Kong will be holding its Annual Charity Bazaar & Festival on Sunday, the 19th of November, 2017.

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Oshra Dayani and am honoured to be the new JWA Bazaar Chairwoman, following three years as an active Board member of this very worthy organization. I look forward to this opportunity and to working with you to make the JWA Bazaar of 2017 a huge success.

Through the efforts of collecting and selling unwanted or excess stock from people such as yourself, we are able to create a fantastic event which helps us raise much needed funds for vital and deserving charities.

As we have done in the past, the funds raised by the Bazaar will be donated to charities in both Hong Kong and Israel. These charities support battered women, children with cancer, as well as day care centres for underprivileged children. We support some of the most vulnerable sectors of society.

We are contacting you with hopes that your company would be kind enough to donate any samples of clothing, toys, housewares, small electrical appliances, hats, bags or suitcases, Christmas decorations & paraphernalia, or merchandise which you no longer need, or indeed need to ‘pass on.’

Many of our past donors have been delighted to have the opportunity to dispose of such goods with the knowledge that they are being used to benefit others in need. As the Bazaar is staffed by an enthusiastic and hardworking group of volunteers, our overhead costs are minimal and the income generated by your donated goods directly benefit the clients that our carefully selected charities support.

The JWA is a non-profit organization that has been contributing to Hong Kong charities for more than 70 years. Since 2012, the JWA has been sponsoring the HK Breast Cancer Foundation educational projects that serve thousands of women in low income areas of the city. They learn about breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection and receive free mammograms as needed.

If you can support our Annual Charity Bazaar with a donation, we would be exceedingly grateful. We are happy to take any donation, large or small.

Please feel free to contact us with queries or offers of goods via e-mail or telephone.

Please email Candice info@jwa.org.hk to arrange a collection.

Sincerely,

Oshra
