About Us

Mission statement

The Jewish Women’s Association Hong Kong (JWA) is dedicated to empowering and engaging women in the Jewish community through educational programs, cultural initiatives and social action that supports women and children.

Our History

The Jewish Women’s Association of Hong Kong (JWA) was established in 1947 to help Jewish refugees arriving from Shanghai. Since then, it has raised more than $50,000,000 for various women and children related charities.

In recent years, the JWA has been dedicated to engaging women in the Jewish community through educational programs, cultural initiatives, and social action. Some of our annual programs include networking workshops, career-related sessions, and mentoring cohorts.

The organization is lucky to have had many dedicated women who have tirelessly volunteered over the years to build the organization into the thriving community it is today.
