Letter from Co-Chair

Dear Friends,

Time flies and incredibly we find ourselves welcoming in a New Year. We have had a wonderful year in the JWA last year with many exciting, fruitful events. Notably we held a very successful Bazaar in November and a Glamorous Shanghai Ball in May. Most importantly, we were able to continue to support our Beneficiaries with their very worthy projects.

There have been a lot of exciting changes at our Annual General Meeting held this month. Although we are sad to see my Co-Chairwoman Ana Scherer stepping down from her position, we are delighted that she will take on a new role as Past Chairwoman. I want to officially thank Ana for her dedication and commitment to the JWA and specifically her leadership, hard work and vision over the past two years. She is truly an inspiration to us all and I hope that we can live up to her example! Luckily, she will not be far away, as she will continue to stay on the Board to provide us with her wisdom and any guidance we need.

I will be staying on as Co-Chair and am thrilled to announce that Marissa Raccah has agreed to be my Co-Chairwoman. WELCOME MARISSA!! I am looking forward to working with Marissa in her new capacity. Please join me in welcoming her.

The good news does not stop here! Please also welcome our 7 new Board members: Irit Balas-Rosner, Rebecca Schrage, Amy Mines Tadelis, Sarit Azrielivich, Sarah Oliver, Yael Bronner Rubin and welcome back to Raz Alcobi.

More great news: Irit Balas has already stepped up be my Co-Chair for the Annual Bazaar. Mark your calendars for November 23rd for the JWA Bazaar!!

I am hugely excited about this year; it’s quickly shaping up to be spectacular with many events you can read about below, to fill your calendar!

We are looking forward to a successful year supporting the people who most need our help, as we all truly appreciate the gifts we have been given.

May you and your families be blessed with good health and happiness this year and may we all be inscribed in the Book of Life.

שנה טובה וגמר חתימה טובה

Warmly, Shani
