This years Jewish Women’s Association (JWA) annual Bazaar took place on 3 November at Hong Kong Island School. On a perfect sunny day, it was well attended by more than 1500 eager shoppers vying for the best deals in town!
This years generous suppliers donated a record 1200 boxes of goods for sale including top of the line branded homewares, electrical goods, clothing, toys, Christmas decorations, shoes, and handbags.
There were also several delicious food stalls with the assistance of Chabad offering delicious fare such as falafel, baked goods, and hot dogs! As in previous events, there was plenty of kids activities including face painting and attractions that kept everyone happy.
With more than 170 dedicated volunteers from the local community, including students from ELSA High School, the Bazaar raised more than HK$600,000. These proceeds will go towards programmes that JWA support through charities in Israel and Hong Kong, including Hayim Association, Tlalim, One in Nine, Wizo, and the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. A fun day out was had by all.
